Which terminal

OPT or White Bay — which one is my ship at?

Sydney has two cruise terminals and they are nowhere near each other. Your ticket says which one you need, and the difference is the Harbour Bridge: ships too tall to pass under it berth on the city side, the rest go west.

OPT

Overseas Passenger Terminal

West Circular Quay, in the city centre. East of the Harbour Bridge, so it takes the largest ships - they never have to pass beneath it.

There is no short or long-term parking at the terminal itself. Driving yourself means finding commercial parking in the CBD and paying for every day you are at sea.

WB

White Bay Cruise Terminal

Rozelle, about six kilometres west of the city centre. West of the Harbour Bridge, so it takes mid-sized ships - the ones that can pass under it.

Some short-term parking is available off James Craig Road, but it is not built for a fortnight at sea.

BOTH

We service either one

If you are not sure yet, book anyway and confirm the terminal closer to the date. The fare is the same booking whichever one is on your ticket - tell us and the driver goes to the right one.

Detail on both is on the cruise transfers page.

Getting there

How early do we leave Blakney Creek?

You join the highway already pointed the right way, which keeps the leave-by sensible.

The Cullerin Range can hold fog before dawn; the city end is the rest of it.

Boarding day

What time do we actually need to be at the terminal?

Your cruise line gives you a boarding window, not a departure time, and those are different numbers. The window is usually a few hours wide and often staggered by deck or cabin grade, which is the figure we plan the drive around.

Read the window, not the sailing time

A ship leaving at 6pm may want you aboard by 3pm, and turning up at 5:30 is not the plan you think it is. Send us the window when you book and we work backwards from its start, not its end.

Luggage goes first

Cases are handed to porters at the terminal door and appear at your cabin later, so what you carry in is small. We unload at the drop-off point rather than a car park, which is the part that matters with four large bags.

The city end is the variable

The Hume is predictable; the last few kilometres into Circular Quay on a Saturday morning are not. That margin is already inside the pickup time we quote, and it is why we would rather leave early than explain a missed sailing.

Pricing

How much is a cruise transfer from Blakney Creek?

From $599 one way — a fixed, published fare for the number of passengers you book. Both terminals are the same fare: White Bay at Rozelle is $599 for one or two passengers, the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is $599. Tolls, child seats and one suitcase plus one carry-on per passenger are included; extra bags are $5 each.

Return trips are the same fare each way (plus $10 when we collect you from the airport), and booking both legs together is one conversation rather than two. If more people travel than were booked, the fare for the larger group applies.

Pickups in Blakney Creek

Describe the gate and surface at booking. A light on before dawn does the rest. Blakney Creek drains toward the Dalton country at $559 — quiet farmland where we are usually the only fixed-price transport anyone has ever quoted.

Flying instead of sailing?

Our airport fares are published: Blakney Creek to Sydney Airport is $559 for one or two seats, up to $739 for the full eleven. A cruise transfer is a different destination and a different drive, but if you want a sense of the scale, that is the published benchmark — see the Blakney Creek airport shuttle page.

The corridor: see the Gunning & Western Corridor page for what this route is like at the hours these runs actually leave.

The vehicles

Which vehicle carries the luggage?

Four sizes, and the fare follows the vehicle rather than the head count — so the price below is what the whole group pays between them, not each. Every one carries free child seats, and tolls and airport charges are already inside the figure.

Before you book

Frequently asked about Blakney Creek cruise transfers.

Which Sydney cruise terminal will my ship use?

Your ticket says. The Overseas Passenger Terminal is at West Circular Quay in the city centre, east of the Harbour Bridge, and takes the largest ships. White Bay is at Rozelle about six kilometres west, on the other side of the bridge, for mid-sized ships that can pass beneath it.

How much is a cruise transfer from Blakney Creek?

From $599 one way for one or two passengers: $599 to White Bay, $599 to the Overseas Passenger Terminal, up to $779 for eleven. Fixed for the passengers booked, tolls and child seats included, and every seat count is in the table on this page.

Will the vehicle fit our cruise luggage?

That is the question most quotes get wrong, so we ask about it up front. Tell us the bag count when you book and we send a vehicle with the boot to match, rather than discovering the problem in your driveway.

What time will you collect us?

We work backwards from your boarding window rather than the ship's departure time, and add the margin the city end actually needs. The exact time comes in writing with the quote.

Are the corridor towns easy for a cruise run?

Among the easiest. You are on the Hume within minutes and pointed straight at the city.

Can you take a group to the terminal?

Up to eleven in one vehicle, and multi-address pickups around the district can be quoted as a single job. One fare covers the passengers booked, not each seat.

Who is driving you

Locally operated, accountable, and on the record.

We are a Goulburn-based operator working the Southern Tablelands. Cruise runs use the same vehicles and the same fixed-price approach as our airport work - the difference is the luggage, and the fact that a ship is far less forgiving than a plane about when you turn up.

Our Sydney Airport fares for every town we service, Blakney Creek included, are published on this site. Cruise fares will be too, once there is a real number to publish.

Sailing from Sydney? Book the run in.

Tell us the terminal, the date and how many of you are travelling. Fixed price in writing, no deposit, nothing charged until after drop-off.

Not sure which option suits you? Ask and we will tell you honestly.
