Not a hire item, not an extra line on the fare. Tell us the ages when you book and the right restraint is in the car and checked before we leave your driveway.

New South Wales sets restraint requirements by age, not by preference. Broadly: under six months a child must be in a rear-facing restraint; from six months to four years, either rear-facing or a forward-facing restraint with an inbuilt harness; from four to seven years, a forward-facing restraint with a harness or an approved booster with a properly positioned seatbelt.
Those brackets are the reason we ask for ages rather than just "two kids". A capsule and a booster are not interchangeable, and a transfer that arrives with the wrong one is no use to anybody — least of all at the hour most of our runs leave.
If your child is near a boundary, tell us their age in months rather than years and we will bring the right thing. When it is genuinely borderline we will bring both.
The driver installs the restraint and checks it before the vehicle moves. You are welcome to inspect it yourself and most parents do — that is entirely reasonable and never taken as a slight.
If you would rather use your own seat because it is the one your child is used to, bring it. We will fit it, and it costs nothing either way. On the return leg we can carry it in the boot or you can leave it with us between legs, whichever suits.
This is a genuinely free inclusion, not a promotion. There is no hire fee, no per-seat charge, and no difference in the published fare on your town's page whether you travel alone or with three children and a pram.
A capsule occupies more space than an adult does, and a pram takes boot room a suitcase would otherwise use. That affects which vehicle we send — never what you pay.
| Travelling | Usually | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 2 adults, 1 capsule | Sedan | Comfortable, with room for a pram in the boot. |
| 2 adults, 2 children | Sedan | Fine unless there is a pram plus full luggage. |
| 2 adults, 3 children | People Mover | Three restraints across a back seat is tight in a sedan. |
| 2 adults, 2 children, pram + portacot | People Mover | The boot decides this one, not the seats. |
| Two families together | Minibus | Room for restraints, prams and everyone's bags. |
Fares by vehicle are on the fleet page and in full on every town's own page.
From out here an early flight means leaving in the dark, and doing that with small children in your own car — then parking, then unloading, then a shuttle bus — is the hard version.
The easy version is that they get carried out asleep, buckled into a seat that is already fitted, and wake up at the terminal. You are not driving, so you can deal with whoever needs dealing with on the way.
How early pickups work
Yes — free of charge. We carry rear-facing capsules (0–6 months), forward-facing seats (6 months–4 yrs) and booster seats (4–7 yrs). Tell us your child’s age and weight when booking. Wheelchair-accessible vans with hydraulic lifts are available on request — please book at least 24 hours in advance. Mobility aids, walking frames and oxygen tanks are accommodated at no extra cost.
The age of each child. If one is near a bracket boundary, give it in months. That is all — we work out which restraint and which vehicle from there.
Yes, and many families do because the child is used to it. We will fit it, and it costs nothing either way.
The driver, before the vehicle moves, and you are welcome to check it yourself. Nobody takes that as a slight — it is your child.
Depends on the vehicle. Two is straightforward in a sedan; three usually means a minivan; more than that is a bus. Tell us the number and we send something with the room.
Yes, both, at no charge. They affect boot space, so mention them at booking and the right vehicle turns up.
Usually yes — ask when you book. Otherwise we carry it in the boot, or you use your own for one leg and ours for the other.
Free, fitted before we leave, and no change to your published fare.
Not sure which option suits you? Ask and we will tell you honestly.
